(The Hawaiian version of these comments is still being worked on and will be added later.)

Ulukau is a collaboration that has involved the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Kamehameha Schools, the Federal Administration for Native Americans, the Dwayne & Marti Steele Fund, Hale Kuamoʻo Hawaiian Language Center, Bishop Museum, Alu Like, the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, the PID Foundation, major libraries and archives, and dozens of other institutions and individuals. Its goal is to put on the web all materials ever written in the Hawaiian language, and all books ever written about Hawaiʻi.

MAIN SITE

Just go to ulukau.org. You will see this page:

Notice that everything on the page is in Hawaiian. This is the "default" or mother tongue of Ulukau. Ulukau exists for the revitalization of the Hawaiian language. If you would like to use Ulukau in English, then click English Text (in the top-right corner) and you'll see the same page in English:

At this point you can go through the rest of this document or, if you are on line, you can navigate to just those sections that interest you: Continue to next section...
